Obituary of Gloria Cynthia Hall
Gloria Hall was 82 years old. Gloria's last place of residence was in King Park, NY. She went to be with the lord around 4am; on December 17, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Care Center. Gloria's health began to decline after a massive stroke. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life.
Gloria was born on October 9, 1936 in Barbados; to Mr. and Mrs. Alleyne. Gloria had two known siblings, Barbara and Elsie. While residing in Barbados she met John Hall and they united in holy matrimony in 1957. Shortly afterwards they moved to Trinidad and Tobago. In Trinidad, they gave birth to 10 children. 5 sons and 5 daughters. Later in life Gloria, John, and some of their children relocated to Brooklyn, NY. Prior to this tragic event, Gloria was very active in her church community and enjoyed a few hobbies that included knitting and crafting. She would often knit hats, scarfs, and blankets to give to her family, friends and members of her church. When she wasn't shopping at her favorite mall, TJ Maxx, or creating, Gloria loved to catch up on television; watching gospel shows, law and order, occasionally WWE (which she enjoyed watching with John), and the news. Gloria was great with animals, (having dogs, and birds in the past), but cats were her favorite. A distinct quality of Gloria was her laugh. She had the ability to light up a room and cause everyone to laugh or smile whenever they heard it. Her laugh was well known by family, friends, and even neighbors. Gloria will leave a memory of always being positive, encouraging, and most of all loving. She will be remembered as a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and person.
Gloria is survived by her husband John Hall, children: Alvin, Ann, Carlyle, Egbert (Timmy), Errol, Helen, Michael, Natalie, Rachel, Ruth, 35 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Gloria's service will take place at Union United Methodist Church, East Northport, NY at 10am on Friday, December 21, 2018. This service will be officiated by Pastor Nation.
