Aunt Hazel's obituary describes her so vividly she was such a great cook she was such a great Welcomer to her home. I remember as a young boy being invited to their lovely home I thought I was at the Brady Bunch house it was so warm and so inviting, so the things that were talked in the obituary are so on point . Rest in peace and we love you. your niece and nephew Merle Jr.and Josie.

Aunt Hazel was truly an exceptional person. As I distinctly recall my visits to see her, Uncle Nathan, Gerald, Karen and Russell during my early childhood. She routinely showed a calm, yet wisdom filled style that I learned to admire and respect.
I owe Aunt Hazel an enormous debt of gratitude, because she was the most important person to help me get started on my genealogy journey. As the family matriarch, she possessed a wealth of knowledge and provided valuable genealogical documents, stories and family artifacts that we can cherish. During my last visit where we would be sitting at the table literally for hours, and she, with her Nook e-reader in one hand, would be enthusiastically sharing her experiences growing up...priceless!
May she rest in peace knowing she is loved and will be missed!!!
