Marion B. Green, Jr Obituary

Marion “MB” B. Greene Jr., was born on September 30, 1935 in

Greensboro, North Carolina to Marion B. Greene Sr. and Emily Jones Greene. He moved to New York to seek a better educational

opportunity and successfully earned the title of a master mechanic. He dedicated

25 years of his life working at RAYCO in Huntington, New York.


Marion, an extraordinarily individual, always managed to find goodness in

everyone. He held his family dear, going extra lengths to teach, help, and support.

loved travelling, especially when he was with his beloved wife, Lillian. Apart from

travelling, Marion also had a deep affection for music. He loved to dance,

expressing his joy through rhythm and movement. Part of his big-hearted nature

was his desire to give back to people, an act which gave him immense fulfillment.

On July 22, 2023, Marion was called home leaving a legacy of being a super

hero to his loved ones. His life and contributions will long be celebrated by those

who had the privilege to know him.


Marion is survived by five children: Maurice (Delissa) Greene, Charlene

Greene, Jason (Melissa) Bass, Eunice Bass, and Everett Holloway. He is also

survived by his sister Agnes Cradle and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews

and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents

Marion B. Greene Sr. and Emily Jones-Greene, wife Lillian Greene, two sons Marion

Greene and Gregory Green, one daughter Donna Vieux, three brothers Bryanita

Greene, Brouhe Greene, and James Greene, and three sisters Gladys Greene,

Glenda Greene, and Catherine Squires.
