My name is David Guzman and two of my siblings(Aaron/Ruth) and I knew Gina Foster as a foster children at the Little Flower Children Services institution in Wading River N.Y.(1982). I remember Gina as a strong woman not only a class act but her nurturing ways and no nonsense demeanor was her most effective style of counseling young girls and impacting young boys. She won the adoration of most the children on grounds and I believe she helped shape our characters and our lives as she readied us for the world. I remember her openness and her willingness to embrace you whether you were a child in her cottage or not. But at the same time LOL she was nobody you wanted to play with. Very stern.:) I'm sure the late Monsignor John Fagan held her in high regard and as an asset to the Little Flower Children Service's community. My sister recalls Gina helping her in the most profound way by reassuring her safety from anyone attempting to violate her. Gina 's smile was infectious and her love for her calling in the world will never be forgotten. On behalf of all the throngs of children at Little Flower Children Services I want to thank you so much for your dedication to raising us as though we were your own children. I'm sure you got the job well done citation from our creator. I want to send condolences to her family. I'll always remember Gina :)
