Obituary of Mary J. Jones

Mary Jackie Jones daughter of the late Mack and Lola Hubbard was born May 21, 1937 in Chesterfield, South Carolina, she departed this life September 5, 2013. She was the first of six children. At an early age she accepted the Lord as her Lord and Savior, and became a member of Black Creek Baptist Church in Mt. Croghan, South Carolina. During the great immigration north she moved with her parents to Brooklyn, New York. Her childhood education started at JHS 35 then to Franklin K Jane. After graduation she attended college and received her degree from Farmingdale University. Eventually she met and married James H. Jones (deceased) their union produced four children James H. Jones Jr., Kim Jones (deceased), Donna McCants, and Delphin Jones. She is survived by: five brothers and sister, Benjamin Hubbard ( Jessie) Mt. Croghan, SC., Joseph Hubbard ( Jeannie) of Buena Park, CA, Willie Hubbard (Patricia) of Mt. Croghan, SC, Thomas Hubbard ( Jane) Springfield Gardens, NY, Anne Thomas (David) of Kansas, MO; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and host of relatives and friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She has a kind word for all she met. May God keep her in his warm embrace.
