Obituary of Mary Townsend

Mary Townsend was born on November 21st 1948 in Tifton Georgia to Charles David Wynn (deceased) and Annie Wynn. Mary moved to New York in 1962 she attended Farmingdale High School. She was a nurse's aide providing loving care to all of her patients in various hospitals including Brunswick Hospital, Daleview and Ocean View Nursing Home. Mary was a strong outspoken individual with a heart of gold. She was always there for you if you needed her. Mary loved her family and friends. Mary was a very spiritual woman whose faith helped her thru some tough times. Her laughter was contagious. Her two deceased children Sonya and Julius will be overjoyed to be reunited with their mother. Mary leaves to cherish her memory: her loving son, Michael Townsend; her mother, Annie Wynn; her two sisters ,Vivian Walker and Annie Laura Wynn; her husband, J.C. Townsend; her grandchildren, Tney, Julius, and Donna; her two great grandchildren, nieces, Brigitte, Jenise and Dee Dee; nephews, Qire, Daryl and Chris; one brother-in-law, Lamar Walker; her adopted son, Nelson Alvarez (Mandela).
