Obituary of Melvin Joseph Hall
Melvin Joseph Hall was born on August 16, 1952, to William Hall (deceased) and Minnie Hall in Brooklyn, NY. Melvin was the second oldest of the six children of this union.At the age of ten, Melvin and his family moved to the suburbs of Long Island, NY. He later graduated from Copaigue High School in 1970.In the early 1970's, Melvin met and married his first wife, Charlene Sherry. From this union, they had one child, Deirdre. Unfortunately the marriage
didn't work out for the young couple.
He later met another companion, Diane Johnson and from this relationship, they had his second child, Meliesha Johnson. Melvin loved his children very much. In the early 1980's, Melvin met and married his second wife Laura Hall (deceased). They later moved from Long Island to Cleveland, Ohio and were happily married until her passing.Amongst the many things he did in his life, Melvin served his country in the United States Army. He was also an employee of Cablevision for many years.Melvin was a very charming and charismatic man. His humor was out of this world and he kept us all laughing daily. Needless to say, to know him was to love him. Melvin loved his family and friends dearly.
Melvin spent his last years living with his sister Denise in Wyandanch, NY. He suffered from many medical issues and she was his total caregiver. Anything he ever needed, he knew he could count on "Niecy". On the afternoon of March 7, 2014, Melvin was called home unexpectedly, joining his father William Hall, his two brothers, Bruce and Carl Hall, and numerous other loved ones. Melvin's last wishes was to come home and drive his car and to get to know his grandchildren. Melvin leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Minnie Hall
