Obituary of Delphin E Jones

Delphin Eugene Jones, (AKA "Budda") was the youngest of four children born to the late James and Mary Jones. He was born on February 16, 1970 at Lakeside Hospital in Copiague, New York. Delphin departed this life on May 27, 2014. Delphin had a passion for sports, excelling in soccer, basketball and football at an early age. He played on various sports teams, including the basketball and football teams at Amityville High School, where he graduated in 1989. Delphin was known for his infectious laugh, his quick wit and sense of humor. He made people laugh at every opportunity he could. He would always say "Let you tell it," "I got a trick for you," "I wish I would" or "With that being said" followed by a joke. One could not help but laugh whenever he was around. Delphin was proceeded in death by his sister, Kim B. Jones. He was survived by one brother, James Jones, Jr of Maryland and sister, Donna McCants of North Carolina. He leaves four children to celebrate his life - Danzel, Kimberly, Zoila and Tiaira Jones, one grandchild - Zekai Dickerson, four nieces, one nephew and the love of his life, Lisa Byas. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. We love you Del
