Obituary of Walter J. Bolden
Walter Bolden passed on August 7, 2014, at the age of 80 from a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Bolden is preceded in death by his wife, Madale Bolden. He is survived by three children: Linda Bolden Williams, Germaine and Walter Jr., five grandchildren: Quantay, Michael, Nyre, Anneka, and Jenniya.
Mr. Bolden was born on December 12, 1933 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Mother Annie White and Father James Bolden.
In his early years Mr. Bolden would learn many trades such as cooking, electrical work, and construction. Mr. Bolden knew he liked working with his hands and eventually adopted the craft of welding, where he ultimately graduated from a trade school with a certificate in welding. Mr. Bolden was hired by The Mint Bothers, a welding company in Manhattan, NY, until his retirement.
Mr. Bolden later found employment with Dank Tree Company, where he continued his welding profession; eventually his employment ended and he continued on with full-time retirement.
Mr. Bolden had a passion for animals for many he adopted and became part of his family, such as: Pee-wee, Lucky, and Samantha.
Mr. Bolden had many hobbies during his retirement, such as: fishing, swimming, politics, history, solitaire, and storytelling.
Mr. Bolden leaves behind: sister-in-laws, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the: Good Shepherd Hospice and Palliative Care Center for their support in his final days.
Walter touched the lives of so many people and he will be greatly missed ......
