Mae and I were friends from our days in High School and LPN school. I enjoyed studying with her because she was so smart. The things we were learning in nursing school came easy for her to grasp.
I also had the honor of standing up for her at her wedding to the late Howard Mimms.
We were great friends for many years. We shared a lot of good times as young mothers. Mae was always a loving and caring Mom to her boys.
I am comforted in knowing her weary days are over and her kind and sweet soul us finally at rest.
May God continue to strengthen and comfort her sons and family as only he can.
