Obituary of Derrick Lee Hardy

Derrick Lee Hardy, born on November 27, 1962, departed on May 5th 2015. Although his years lived may be considered short by some of us, Derrick lived his years as the song says "I did it my way". He was strong, determined, and hard working. He worked for Norwalk Wilbert Vault company, as a licensed commercial driver. Derrick graduated from Wyandanch High School and attended Westchester College with a Wrestling Scholorship. Derrick leaves behind his mother and father, Marion and Leo Hardy, a sister Alesha, three children Kyle, Ramel, Destiny, his uncles and aunt, Charles,Kenneth,Ann Marie, nephews, Jarrett and Jasiah, many cousins and many many friends and extended family. If you knew Derrick, you knew his humor, his fun loving ways, his advice and opinions, and his willingness to help others. Derrick will be Missed in manys ways, but his spirit will live on through his children and those who loved him. Derricks last words were "I'm so tired", but now he is resting in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, and reunited again with loving grandmothers and grandfathers, and all of those he knew, who have passed on.Derrick is now no ways tired according to the words of a gospel song. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is the present, a gift from GOD.
