A TIME TO BE BORN
Warren Doff McShan was born to the late Johnnie and Claudia McShan on January 24, 1941 in Meridian, Mississippi.
A TIME TO DIE
After a lengthy illness Warren left his earthly home on Monday, May 11, 2015 to go to his
eternal resting place to be with the Lord.
A TIME TO BUILD UP
Warren received his early education and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. During his early years, Warren was a member of the singing group called The Sensational Stars. After moving to New York he sought and received gainful employment with Trailways Transportation System and resigned after 14 years. Warren began his own business as home improvement specialist.
In 1972 Warren joined Hollywood Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Andy C. Lewter, Sr. He was a gifted singer and enjoyed singing with the Hollywood Baptist Church Senior Choir.
Warren was also ordained as a Deacon and served his church well by visiting the sick, taking the elderly to doctor visits and shopping when they needed a ride.
A TIME TO LOVE
On January 22, 1966, Warren married Lizzie Motley. From this union four daughters were born. He loved to bowl and was a member of Hollywood's Sunday School Bowling League.
A TIME TO WEEP AND A TIME TO MOURN
Warren leaves to celebrate his homegoing: wife—Lizzie McShan; daughters—Priscilla Motley, Greta McShan, Felicia McShan, Liz Lynette McShan; grandchildren—Phillip Motley, Quenton Wilson, Robyn Stills; great grandchildren—Damian Motley, Ji'Aire and Jayla Wilson; Stepmother—Bernadine McShan; brothers—Clarence (Jackie) McShan, Johnny McShan, Bobby McShan, Mervin (Gail) McShan, Charles McShan; sister—Claudia Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friend.
