Obituary of Jane Ann Snell McPherson

Jane (Janie) Ann Snell McPherson, daughter of Venetta E. Chavis and Clement Snell was born December 7, 1961 at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York. She departed this life February 9, 2016. Jane graduated from Copiague Senior High School class of 1980. She worked as a CNA (certified nurses aide) for over 10 years at the Covenant and Brunswick Hospitals in Amityville, NY. In her pastime Jane, loved to read, travel, spend time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Last but certainly not least Jane's most favorite pastime activity was to go to the "cling" (casino). Jane was a lively, loving and caring person that touched many in her life. She was better known to her friends growing up as "skateboard". Jane often provided comic relief to her family and friends and is known for saying phrases such as, "stay in your lane" and "don't play me...play lotto!" She is survived by her parents: Venetta Chavis of Pinebluff, NC, Clement Snell of St. Petersburg, FL; children: Daron Snell (Shaneak) of Central Islip, NY, Terrence Snell (Toya) of Wyandanch, NY, Michael Rick Snell (Tracey) of Atlanta, GA and Brett Restrepo of St. Petersburg, FL; three grandchildren: Daron Jr, Jayden and Delonte; special friend: Lola Edmonds of Bay Shore, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jane will truly be missed.
