Obituary of Janet S. Fuller

Janet was born to the late James Sr. and Mary Simeona on July 14, 1933. She exchanged time for eternity on February 8, 2016 at home with her loving family in attendance. Janet received her formal education in Freeport School System upon which shegraduated. She received and accepted Christ at an early age at the First Church of God in Christ in Freeport, NY. Not long after she met and married Samuel Walter Fuller in 1950. Samuel Walter Fuller preceded her in death from this union was born three children Denise, Joyce and Walter Fuller. Together they bought a home in Amityville, NY where they raised their family and residing at the time of her passing leaving this earthly world to be with her Lord and Savior. In May 1960 Janet began working at Nassau Medical Center in East Meadow, NY where she worked for 30 years of loyal service retired in November 1990. The year 1988 Janet Fuller joined Bethel A.M.E. Church in Freeport under the leadership of Pastor Bouie. Janet loved to volunteer for various church activities. Visit with the sick, shut in members, and friends. She would often drive family members, neighbors, friends to doctor appointments, shopping and etc. because they were unable to drive themselves. When she became ill she used her strength and faith in God to try to keep her family from knowing how sick she really was helping to provide them with hope for her recovery. Janet leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children: Denise Woolridge, Joyce Anderson, and Walter Fuller. Nine grandchildren: Pamela Woolridge, Keala Woolridge Holmes, Rani Woolridge, Anthony D. Fuller, Donnie Fuller, Jasmin Fuller, Shawn Fuller, Atiya Robinson, Latifya Robinson and sixteen great-grands, and eight great-great-grands. Two sisters, Helen Downes of Freeport, NY and Mabel Williams of Bellmore, NY. James Simeona Jr. (Sonny) and Sister in law Ophelia Simeona of Freeport, NY who she loved and cherished deeply. Two nieces, Rosalyn Richardson of South Carolina and Dianna Lauretta Richardson White of South Carolina. A host of grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends. Also mourning her loss are two life-long friends Bernice Woods of North Carolina and Mabel Herbert of Amityville, NY
