My fondest memory with Shirley is spending time with her in New York on several occassions and the most memorable one was spending time at her apartment on one of my many visits.
She made me feel so loved and welcomed me with warm open arms and kisses! She loved and appreciated me and always made me feel very special. Her care was abounding and her love was never-ending for me and she was always so happy to hear from me. I can still hear her lovely, melodic Guyanese calling my name over the telephone!
I remembered her Birthdays and when I called to wish her a Happy Birthday, she was always be so happy to hear from me! She loved to laugh and her giggles made me giggle also. Her love and care for everyone was abounding and she will always be remembered!
She will be sorely missed. Sleep on my dear Granny Olive, be at peace, I will always remember you with much love
