Obituary of Andre Anthony Butts

Andre Anthony Butts was born on September 4, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Ana Maria Gordon-Mistretta and Alton Augustus Butts. He was the second of three children. Andre affectionally known to his kids as Poppie, his family as Andy, and to the world as Infinite (Uncle Inf). Andre spent his early years in Brooklyn, New York and made his way to Amityville, Long Island where he attended Farmingdale School District. Andre received his CDL and worked for Genesis Fuel Company in Farmingdale where he spent 10 years of his career. He decided to change professions and found joy working for The Corporate Source at the Cohalan Court Complex in Central Islip, NY as a Foreman. In his adult years, he rejoined Holy Trinity Baptist Church where he gave his life back to Christ. Andre had a heart of gold. He poured into his community through dependability and dedication. He had a host of good friends due to his generosity and compassion. Andre was loved by everyone he encountered. He was a caregiver, provider, and comedian. He articulated his life stories with such vivid imagery, he would make you feel like you were there. His love of cooking and parties made his house the place to be every weekend. Grandchildren: Hayden, Justin, Journei, Leilani, Zane.
